This project was completed as part of my A-Level Art course. I had already produced a miniature cardboard model of my childhood home, which came from my passion for architecture, and I then decided to create a shrouded man sculpture that would accompany it.
The piece was partly inspired my Anthony Gormley's older work, and I was able to make this almost life-size figure using a wire frame stuffed with paper, and a sheet soaked in plaster that I positioned on top.
The home model was positioned on his lap, but he is unable to grasp it as his hands are covered, which was meant to symbolise homelessness.
